We are accepting orders for the first four Zing! cars. These first four will be offered
at the same price as the later production versions: $17,995.
These
will have the same hard-edge styling of the proof of concept prototype (instead of the rounded styling of the home page
rendering.) (In fact, later production vehicles are likely to have the same styling, partly because we have received
positive feedback, and partly because the process is more easily scaled for high or low production.)
We will put 1000 miles on each of these first four before delivery, to ensure that
they perform correctly. That distance is enough that we should be able to see any abnormalities developing. We will warrant
these vehicles for 36 months or 36,000 miles.
These first four
vehicles will be built to order, with Zing! number 1 taking about 3 months to complete.
